Dr Rohit Gupta

After graduating medical school from the University of Adelaide and undertaking my residency in South Australia, I completed my basic and advanced training throughout Queensland. Placements at the Logan Hospital, The Sunshine Coast University Hospital and The Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital have given me invaluable experience caring for patients with complexities in the breadth of gastroenterology and hepatology. I have a special research interest in cirrhosis and it’s complications as well as coeliac disease. I have presented at many national and international meetings and I am part of the editorial team at Frontline Gastroenterology, subcommittee of the International Liver Transplant Society and an active member of the American Gastroenterology Association. I have an interest in teaching and I am involved in medical student and registrar teaching. In 2013, I was awarded the Clinical Teacher Award from The University of Queensland. When I’m not working or writing, I enjoy spending time with my family being outdoors and playing cricket with my two boys.
